Child coaching in Prague and online, ages 3 to 12
For children going through a hard year, a change at home, or feelings they don't have words for yet.
Ages 3 to 6: mostly work with parents
Young children work things through in play, not conversation. With this age group much of the work happens with you: understanding what your child is showing you, and what helps at home. When I see your child, sessions are play and story, with no pressure to talk.
Ages 7 to 12: play and conversation
Children this age can usually talk more directly, though play and drawing still do a lot of the work. In person tends to suit them better than video.
Why parents get in touch
- A child who has lost confidence, or become unusually hard on themselves
- Worry that seems bigger than the situation calls for
- Friendships: not fitting in, falling out, feeling left behind
- Trouble at school, or a sudden drop in motivation
- Anger or big emotions that have become a daily flashpoint
- A change in the family: a new sibling, a move, a separation
What you'll hear from me
After each session you get a short update: how it went and the themes we're working on, not the details of what your child said. That privacy is what lets children open up. Its limits are set out under confidentiality.
If what you describe sounds like it needs a psychologist rather than a coach, I'll say so before we start. See what I refer on.
