Coaching for children and teenagers, in Prague and online

When family life shifts – a separation, a move, a hard year at school – children often need an adult outside the family to talk to. I'm Lucie Straková, and that is my work: one to one with children from age three, teenagers, young adults up to 22, and their parents. In English or Czech.

Three things you can rely on

The first session belongs to your child

No agenda from parents, and none from me. It's the main reason children want to come back.

Privacy, with clear limits

Parents hear how it's going, not what was said, unless a child's safety is at risk. We agree the rules together at the start.

I'll tell you when coaching isn't the answer

I'm a coach, not a therapist. If your child needs clinical help, I'll say so and help you find it.

About me

I spent fifteen summers in leadership roles at accredited summer camps in the United States, as Waterfront Director and teen trip leader. Today I'm also a transitional foster parent in the Czech Republic, and I'm studying for an MSc in Psychology at a UK university.

I don't hold a coaching certificate. Coaching isn't a regulated profession, so rather than lean on a title I'd prefer to show you exactly what my experience is. My work is supervised monthly by a psychologist, and I carry professional liability insurance.

How to begin

  1. Send a message

WhatsApp or email; a few lines are enough. I read and answer every message myself within 48 hours.

  2. A short call

Free, with no obligation. We work out whether coaching fits. If it doesn't, I'll suggest who might help.

  3. The first session

In person in Prague or online, then every week or two for as long as it's useful. Sessions start at €55; see pricing.

Tell me what's going on

A few lines about your child, or about yourself if you're a teenager or young adult, is plenty. I reply personally within 48 hours.
